So let me tell you about my life....

Naomi wearing a new "hat"-she took it from my kitchen cabinet while I was making lunch.
(Side note, I think it's time for some new Naomi userpics, but I don't know which ones to use-if anyone feels like messing with Photoshop for me, you can check out the rest of the photos on Flickr and see what works well. And thank you if you do.)
Naomi has gained some new skills-in addition to applying hats, of course. She's starting to climb onto the couch when I'm sitting there, which is interesting. It's meant more cuddles lately-she'll climb up and curl up in my lap or on my arm. It's also meant that she's starting to climb onto things in order to reach higher on the shelves. She's gained a few new words-cheese, peach, and more come to mind-she'd been signing "more" for a while, but now she's saying it. I'm sure she's got others-I just don't remember what they are. What's interesting to me is that she seems to use the sign for "more" whenever she wants something to eat. She's becoming quite proficient with a fork and a spoon, which is a lot of fun-I gave her a cup of applesauce the other night with dinner, and didn't help at all other than taking the first spoonful and setting it on top of the cup.
She's gotten a new grasp on manipulative toys-she's trying to put together wooden puzzles that

She'll voluntarily sit on her potty if the bathroom door is open-just walks over and plops down on it. We'll introduce the idea of sitting without a diaper soon enough.
If you tell her that it's time to go eat lunch, she'll walk to her chair. If you tell her it's time to go have a nap, she'll often walk over to her room. Sometimes she'll even do it if it's time for a diaper change.
She popped molar through about a week ago, too. She's got two front teeth on the bottom, four top teeth in the front, and the beginning of a molar on the top left hand side.
We're enjoying yoga lately-we'll see how I feel when it ends, and when the next session is, and how it coincides with when we expect this baby to arrive.
And me? Still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life besides motherhood.
