Empty Days

geminigirlTechnically, today's a holiday, but for some reason we don't get this one. We get other federal holidays, like MLK's birthday and stuff, we get the day after Thanksgiving, which isn't a holiday. It's absolutely silent here. There are three people in my department today. I've spent half the day wasting my time and half the day being reasonably productive. I'd rather be home. Instead I'm working four evenings this week, tonight being the first.
Our incoming e-mail is a mess too, which means things are bouncing. Being a holiday of course, our tech guy isn't fixing things. (He's a consultant-we call him when we need him.)
Long, uneventful weekend. Looking forward to Harry Potter this weekend. Did some serious thinking about things, about my path and the future and all that.

yesthattom you can probably rent the previous seasons somewhere...)Watched "American Dreams"-I love good family shows. Seventh Heaven rocks my Monday night.
Didn't sleep well this weekend. I'm managing to get through today with serious doses of caffeine. This bothers me since it makes me ill later on, but without it I'd be asleep. The nice thing about avoiding caffeine most of the time is I still get a buzz from it. But it does make my head feel fuzzy and make it difficult to concentrate or think clearly. I wonder how the memo I wrote today will come out. I should prep for tomorrow's group too, since I won't bother coming into the office for it. I will mail my niece's birthday gift (I'm a bad auntie-her birthday was yesterday and I didn't mail the gift yet.)
Okay. Other posts to make and work to do before I have to leave.
