I got your note, btw. What would you guys think of finding an off season vacation rental for a couple of days on Tybee Island?

It sounds fun. Does off-season mean fall or winter? Max is getting better in the car so hopefully by the time he's a little older we can do a driving trip without too much wahhh-wahhh.

I'm not exactly sure what the off season is in Tybee-I'll have to make some calls to find out. I just figured with three little kids, at least one of whom is probably going to want to take naps, and four grown ups, most of whom are probably going to want to stay up later than the children, it might make sense. Otherwise maybe some kind of suite style hotel would make sense...that would give us sitting room space to hang out while the kids slept.

Oh, and if you're a board game fan, you might want to check out Ticket to Ride...it's a board game I love (which involves building railroad tracks connecting different cities) but it has an iPad version which you can play solo or online with others.

It sounds awesome to me. And i hope to heck he takes better naps by then than he does now! If we do it in January or February he'll be a year old! That sounds crazy. :)

I asked Mike and he's into the idea too. We should research!

Awesome! We will do the research. And we can wait to do this until Max does better in the car-as much as I'd like to see you, I also don't want to cause misery.

He's getting progressively better in the car. Mike and I talked and we thiiiiink it might be safe to try to plan for this winter. He's usually fairly chilli in the car now if he's not overtired and someone is with him in the back.

We had some progress. More pee in the potty, some self-initiated potty trips. We're having poop difficulties still, but I know that comes later for most kids. She almost made it to the bathroom today for that-she did it right in front of the door. And we've gotten to the point where if she does start to have an accident and we see it we can tell her "Stop and go potty" and she can usually manage it.

We're getting somewhere...but we need to get this under control before school starts-meet the teacher is Aug 12 and the first day is Aug 15.

How old is she again? Between 3 and 3.5? I dunno - it should come along soon.

Ironically here most preschools can deal with pee but not poop accidents.
