I had kind of been planning on not getting another cat but Miriam broke my heart over the weekend when she asked if she could make posters to find Beta so I decided to stop today after I went to the health department...and he wasn't the first cat I looked at, but he was just right. He's an owner surrender-they gave him up because they couldn't afford him. He was in a home with other cats and kids and dogs. I held him for a moment, he was nervous, then I flipped him on his back and he purred and flopped. And I knew he was a good choice...so I picked up the girls and we went back to meet him together. He was nervous for a moment, then relaxed and purred. Then we put him down and he wrapped around our ankles and played with us and we decided to take him home. And now he's getting used to our house and his place in the kitty pecking order.
