Went to bed with a bit of a sore throat last night-more than scratchy and dry, definite beginnings of sore. Woke up two hours later because of said sore throat. A tiny bit congested, which may or may not have anything to do with sore throat. Can't see if tonsils have patches, can't decide whether or not this is worth calling the doctor, but tylenol did nothing to make it possible to sleep...called in sick today mostly because I'm potentially contagious, and the combination of pregnant people and surpressed immune systems at work, I just felt irresponsible not doing that. The question though is, call the doctor or wait til tomorrow?

Feh.

I've been waiting, but colds are usually more sniffly and ear-hurty than this, which is more "I feel okay, I just have a really sore throat and don't want to swallow anything." I'm reluctant to call because it came on so quickly-it went from annoying to starting to make me squeaky in a very short period of time, so it might just go away by itself, maybe.

Meanwhile, I need to try and get some food in that won't hurt much to swallow.
