Jun. 30th, 2003 11:26 amOnce again, an interesting staff meeting. I don't love staff meetings, but most weeks I don't dread going to them either. This morning, was no exception.
In with the usual stuff, there was talk about the Bush administration HIV prevention policies, Ryan White funding and the CDC prevention attitudes-a shift towards "prevention for positives" and talk about how clearly it lacked any youth initiative and drive to it. And so on.
And the Supreme Court decisions. The impact the decisions could have on the clients we work with (as an agency-not just my clients) is tremendous. And so there was much talk about sodomy. Not specific acts of sodomy, but the impact this decision could have-positive and negative. Talk about how sex is about power, and about making it healthy for the people involved, and what it should be, and how it people should feel loved and valued and so on. Ethical Sexuality...
Just interesting. Wondering what it really means. And glad that it happens where I work.
