We're home. We were discharged today at about 3 PM, under protestations from the doctor.
Baby Nacho is having some trouble regulating her blood sugar, and under protestations, the doctor (not our doctor) agreed to release us today under rather strict conditions...that she's fed every two hours, that we monitor her blood sugar at home and keep it at the level she demands is correct (which may or may not be appropriate for breastfed infants before mother's milk comes in) and that if the level drops, we supplement via SNS-fortunately, I've found some donor milk-this should only be a few days until my milk actually comes in but if you know anyone in Central Florida (within about two hours of Orlando) who could spare milk, we'd appreciate it. We are willing to pay for it. Just hope that my milk actually comes in.
Anyway, we're on a really wild eat-sleep-blood glucose schedule right now, but I wanted to let people know we were home. One of us will get some pictures together either via email to someone else, or online. I need to find the diaper bag, eat something, and then, in 25 minutes, feed the baby again.
