Monday was heavy rains, and so our basement flooded. While cleaning up the flood, I managed to slip and hyperextend my knee. Tuesday I went to the gym, and somehow, without noticing moved weirdly enough (probably compensating for the knee) that I pulled both hamstring muscles. (Those are better now.) Thursday I managed to fall and twist the unhappy knee (I can feel it still trying to hyperextend, and all the ligaments and stuff are loose) and again bend it backwards. Cayne's worked late every night this week.

I want it to be Saturday so I can curl up and hang out with Cayne.

Sorry about the knee. I've had lots of knee injuries and lots of knee PT. Ice ice ice, and advil. Let yourself get better before you do things that make it worse.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Knee injuries just suck. :(

Ah...I too am allergic to ibuprofen, which I discovered at summer camp after I broke a finger. Not such a fun time. Can you take aleve or tylenol? I'm generally underwhelmed by aspirin, but some like it. If it's working for you, do it.

My kneecaps like to roll to the outsides of my knee, and it took months and months of PT and strengthening exercises before everything was right again. I'll always have to be hyper-vigilant on quad exercises and make sure that I'm exercising the inner quads as much as the outer ones to keep it from happening again. Hope you're feeling better soon.
