Put it off.

I'm trying to get our birth plan on paper. It's not working. It's like the car seat...I'm procrastinating because I'm feeling unprepared for what it really means.
I have to do this. But it just feels so uncomfortable.

Date: 2008-03-11 08:15 pm (UTC)The fact is that you don't HAVE to, sweetie. The baby will be born whether you write a plan or not. Things may even go really swimmingly without a written plan. Your baby doesn't care if you have a birth plan-it's mostly for you so your wants and needs are communicated ahead of time.I am pretty sure knowing you that you'll be able to express your wants and needs at the time if you need to. If you don't want to do write onr, then don't. Guarantee you that that the baby will still know you love hir.
And somehow you will get a car seat in time to bring the baby home. These are all choices. Breathe, Mamacita. What you are feeling is normal. And OK.

Sweetie, I am 100% sure you will be a wonderful Mama and that the Great Maker has already given you the child you are meant to have. Believe in yourself. I believe in you.

But at the same time, I appreciate the reminder to believe in myself. Because that's part of this whole package. I've made so many other big changes and felt good about the choices. With this, I'm just lost.
